Malaysia Future Leaders School

My Experience in MFLS

The Malaysia Future Leaders School (MFLS) was created according to the principle of the Japan Future Leaders School but adapted to the Malaysian landscape.

The programme is aimed at instilling leadership qualities and good values among the youth in order to strengthen and harness their potential to be great leaders in the future.

I've been in this camp for 10 days , 26th June until 17th June 2019 at Outward Bound Malaysia Lumut, Perak. The participants of MFLS can't bring the gadgets, foods and wallets or any valueable items during the camp. All of them were collected before the camp started. It was a memorable experience as I get the chance to be friend with anyone and most of the partipants are friendly although we came from different races.

From this camp, I've learned the values of teamwork, friendship, communication skills, punctual and discipline as we need to get up early in the morning to fulfill our responsibilty as a muslims (subuh prayer). For non-muslims, they need to gathered at the field to sing our National songs.

GADING

Gading is the name of my watch. The name Gading is taken from the name of various mounts in Malaysia. Each team will have the guiders (coach) and mine is Coach Nasaruddin. My watch has 14 members. All of them are the same age as me, 16. None of us came from the same school but we're so close to each other. We did the tasks given together including having meals. I am so grateful to know them. They are extremely kind and helpful. My watch taught me to be brave to face anything. They taught me about the values of teamworks and friendship.
